What are Essential Oils?
Essential Oils are highly concentrated, volatile (evaporates quickly), extracts.
They are derived directly from leaves, flowers, fruits, stems, wood, mosses, and roots of
very specific and special plants.
Through a distillation process, the pure essence of each plant is extracted to form
highly concentrated and potent oils that contain hormones, vitamins, antibiotics and
antiseptics. They are the world's most concentrated form of herbal energy.
Most of our essential oils are lighter than water - and are not water soluble. Instead,
they are "liposolvent," meaning they dissolve in fats. This property, along with
their small molecular structure allows the essential oil to penetrate easily through the
skin, nasal passages, bronchioles, lungs & gastro-intestinal tract. Upon absorption of
the surface layer they quickly penetrate into the sinus, lungs, lymphatic & blood
capillary systems - entering into general circulation.
Once in the lymphatic system, the essential oils are carried directly to the liver or
fed into the blood stream. The oils circulate with the blood. Body tissues & organs
then choose any portion of the essential oil it needs to utilize in its metabolic
processes or it may simply receive the stimulation, sedation, or beneficial properties of
the oil as it passes through.
Because of the quickly evaporating, volatile nature of essential oils, they usually
leave the body within 48 hours. For instance, a drop of Essential Oil placed on a cloth or
napkin will completely disappear within a few minutes to a few days, leaving no trace or
stains.
Essentials Oils have been used for thousands of years - known for their remarkable
healing properties - and are referred to as The Lifeblood of Plants.
Warren Botanicals Inc. imports Essential Oils from all parts of the world and uses only
the purest and most potent oils available.
