What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is the therapeutic use of essential oils to promote healing by
stimulating the body's own regenerative powers.
When applied directly to the skin, the oils are carried via the blood stream and
circulatory system to the muscles, tissues, joints and organs, where they are needed.
When inhaled, essential oils have a pronounced action on the lungs, heart, respiratory
and cardiovascular systems.
Used for thousands of years, Aromatherapy and Essential Oils have only recently been
gaining acceptance in the West. So much so that their use in North America has increased
dramatically over the past several years and continues to grow at an exciting pace.
