Mercedes Championships - Being held January 8-14, 2001 on the Plantation Course at Kapalua on the island of Maui. Tiger Woods is the defending champion in this first PGA tour of the season.
The Sony Open - Scheduled for January 15-21,2001 at the prestigeous Waialae Country Club on the island of Oahu. A 4 million dollar purse draws the world's best golfers each year to this PGA tournament.
